cookie carnival :: june (you decide!)
NOTE: people have asked and i'm talking about the coconut style macaroon.....which i'd definitely dip in chocolate!) it's JUNE! this month, we're doing a little something different for the ol' Cookie Carnival. i sort of feel bad doling out the cookie baking decisions all the time, like i'm some kind of Cookie Queen. however, i felt it best to do so as the Carnival was just getting rolling. . . so, now i plan to do things like have guest hosts and votes. if any of you are interested in hosting, let me know!
this month it's a choice between 3 options. all simple classics. all tasty (i hope). if you are a Carnival member you may vote by commenting on this post. i'll tally the votes in 3 days. at the end of the day (8pm EST) on THIS Saturday, i'll tally and announce the winning cookie. although it may be obvious by the comments posted. who knows!?
so. here are the choices.
1. the old-fashioned favorite - SNICKERDOODLES
2. the ever-classy - MACAROONS (i'm talking coconut!)
3. because everyone loves chocolate - DOUBLE CHOCOLATE COOKIES

Snickerdoodles. Or Macaroons. I'm easy. And this month I'll even get my act together and bake. :)
I've done all three already but my macaroons were a fright. So I vote the MACAROONS, I need to perfect them!

What a cool idea, letting us vote. I vote for the Chocolate ones...I detest coconut, so no macaroons for me. And I already have a FAB Snickerdoodle recipe. So I'm all for the chocolate :-)
macaroons - I've never made them before - gasp!!
Wait, do you mean french macaroons or coconut macaroons?
I would vote for french macaroons.
I'm happy with any of the three, but I'd like to see the snickerdoodles most I think. Weird coming from the chocoholic here I know, but I still on the hunt for "the" snickerdoodle recipe!

Count me in for macaroons, if you're talking about the coconut variety, rather than the French variety of macarons. Otherwise, I vote for Snickerdoodles.

I can't get my boyfriend to touch anything coconut and I like macaroons, but not enough. I feel the same about chocolate, so my vote is for snickerdoodles!

I signed up for last month's but somehow the time ran away from me and I never made them (although I probably will sooner than later next time I see some blueberries at the market).
These will be perfect to take to many upcoming baseball tournaments
