cookie carnival :: december round-up!
it's cookie time again. time to put my felting needle and wool down and get back to cookie-ing! i'm sad to report that december carnival attendance was slow. i should have expected this. we're all so busy at the holidays. i did consider this of course. but, i figured, EVERYone makes cookies this time of year. so, isn't it a no-brainer, but then i didn't even do this month's challenge, so how could i expect others to do it? we were so busy around here crafting, painting, decorating and wrapping, that i just couldn't make it happen. i'm sorry for that. i think next year we'll skip december instead of january. we're on a break right now, but it seems that folks are ready to get back to it. ah, well. lesson learned. that being said we DID get some WONDERFUL submissions. they were few, but they are awesome! and we have some winners. so, without further ado (photos appear ABOVE the info about the baker). . .

What a beautiful group of cookies. We don't do decorated cookies at our house for the holidays, so I sat this one out. Looking forward to February!
Great job everyone! I'm in awe of everyone's cookie decorating prowess (I am terrible with frosting!).
Everyone did a great job! We made SO MANY cookies here, but I didn't do much in the way of decorating. Looking forward to February...Valentine's Day!!
Congratulations to the winners!
Everyone did such a nice job on their cookies!
I wasn't able to find the time to squeeze this one in, either. I'm looking forward to the next one, though! :)
Thanks so much for the vote of confidence! Even though only a few people participated, I was excited to win( never won any kind of contest before in my life!) Everyone's cookies were great looking and I highly recommend trying cookie decorating- it's relaxing, fun and a way express a creative outlet. Happy New Year!
Aaaw, thanks! Those family cookies were left over dough that I was just playing around with.
:-) That's fun! Thanks a lot!
Everyone's cookies were really great! I agree with Yael that cookie decorating is so fun and a great stress realiever. My kids (including my 2 year old) even got involved.
Looks like everyone did a great job! I have absolutely no decorating skills. Can't wait for next month!
Great job as usual Kate, looking forward to seeing what's in store for January!
