Cookie Carnival :: November Round-Up

many thanks to jen at beantown baker for providing us with this month's recipe for PECAN PIE COOKIES!

these cookies were like little soft, warm, pillows of yum. i loved them! and thankfully, i planned to make them on the day i was to bring a meal to some friends who just recently had a baby. so, therefore, i didn't eat the whole pile of them myself. because i easily could have. they were easy to make and delicious. win-win!

just to remind everyone, i'm taking December off this year. i hope you all have a delicious holiday with your families! let's re-convene in 2010. can it really be 2010??? that seems to sci-fi.

anyway, on to your cookies! thanks to all of you who participated! and if i forgot anyone, please email me and let me know. i'm frazzled as usual.....

Cookie Carnival :: September Round up!

yay! it's round-up time. i love so much reading your posts and seeing all the photos of your cookies...and your families enjoying them.

the sad truth (or is it happy?) around here is that i'm the only one who eats coconut. so, i had all these bad boys all to myself. yes. this is dangerous. i forced myself to freeze a bunch.

i thought they were yummy. my only complaint, if you can call it that, was the layer of chocolate. i'd like something chocolatier in flavor, but also more of it. maybe i would double the chocolate part next time.
i'm running out of time today, so if you are interested in the recipe, click any of the links below as most people have the recipe as part of their post.

anyway, on to you all.....please alert me to any mistakes--i did this one quickly! THANKS everyone!

wow! we had lots of participants this month. thank you each for playing along. i really appreciate the effort everyone puts forth.
so, our JUNE cookie was the STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE COOKIE from martha.

i have to say, i really enjoyed these cookies. they were simple and i liked that. they were like biscuits. . . fluffy and sweet and fully of strawberry goodness. and they were not to be resisted. many of you talked about how they went totally south the next day, but i had no idea because ours didn't make it into the next day. too yummy!

i have no photo to show, but that's a good sign. we ate them faster than i could photograph them. i totally forgot. too busy saying, "mmmm." and it wasn't until later that i realized i had
